GERMANY • The supplier of slitter rewinders and winding looks back on a successful year. In March 2015, the German company Goebel Schneid- und Wickelsysteme and IMS, a former brand of the Italy-based IMS Deltamatic Group, merged their business activities in order to become Goebel IMS. According to the supplier, the merged company realised the highest turnover in the company’s history in 2015.
This record turnover was achieved by receiving several orders from the alufoil, film, tobacco, aseptic packaging as well as pulp and paper industries. Especially in Asia, Goebel IMS saw an increasing demand for its slitting and winding solutions for the converting of paper and board. The 100th Monoslit, a slitter rewinder for the converting of different films including BOPP, BOPP, BOPET, OPET, was put into operation at PT Argha Karya Prima Industry Tbk in Indonesia.
