60,000 additional tons per year for both domestic and export markets
India based global group Cosmo Films is one of the leading manufacturers of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films in the world today. The company continues its success story by carrying forward its growth strategy with a new 10.4m wide BOPP line, adding up to 60,000 tons per year to its capacity. Being the first of its kind in India, this investment underlines Cosmo’s dominant role within the business.
The new production line will be installed at Cosmo’s Karjan plant site near Vadodara. Mr. Pankaj Poddar, CEO of Cosmo Films, says: “We are anticipating a strong demand for BOPP films in the coming years which prompts us to expand our BOPP production capacity. The output of the new production unit is intended to be used for both domestic and export markets.”
Brückner Maschinenbau’s unique 10.4m technology not only stands for the highest output and productivity available within the industry to date. It is also characterized by minimized operating costs per unit output, reduced specific energy consumption and therefore an improved overall profitability.
To sum up: the new project is another highlight in Cosmo’s and Brückner’s long-lasting, fruitful and proven partnership.
