Stockholm, Sweden, January 5, 2016: Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has completed the acquisition of the assets of Capitol Research Equipment Inc., a U.S. parts and service provider for vacuum pumps.
Capitol Research Equipment, commonly known as Capitol Vacuum Parts, is based in Chantilly, Virginia, USA. The company, which has 15 employees, sells spare parts globally for vacuum pumps and related equipment, while also providing repair and service in the U.S. It had revenues in 2014 of about MUSD 3.1 (MSEK 22).
The acquired business becomes part of Edwards Vacuum, LLC within the Vacuum Solutions division in Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Atlas Copco announced on December 21, 2015 that it had agreed to acquire Capitol Research Equipment.
