Successful start-up of new ANDRITZ
BOPP film line at Daelim, South Korea
Graz, May 21, 2013. International technology Group ANDRITZ has successfully started up a BOPP film stretching line for Daelim Industrial, a South Korean group operating globally in the construction and chemical industries. The new ANDRITZ Biax line with a width of 8.7 m is designed for an annual capacity of around 38,600 t. The plastic films, with a thickness of 10-60 µm, will be used primarily in the packaging industry.
Following start-up ahead of schedule, the line is now running at stable speed and with very good film quality on the winder. Mr. Jae Kwan Yoo, Vice President and Director of Film Business in the Daelim Group, states: “The intensive and positive cooperation by ANDRITZ Biax and Daelim in addition to the smooth and fast start-up clearly show that we made the right decision in going with ANDRITZ. The results meet our expectations in full.”
