Nordmeccanica – Collaboration on developments on packaging innovation

 The companies agree to collaborate on new technology developments that accelerate flexible packaging solutions. By combining adhesive development with machine pioneering the companies want to target new technologies for faster commercialisation to market. The global collaboration to further accelerate the development of packaging innovation will be highlighted by Dow Chemical and Nordmeccina SpA at drupa 2016.

New developments can be expected from the joint collaboration with Dow and Nordmeccanica through Dow’s Pack Studios in Mozzate, Italy. This technology training centre hosts a Nordmeccanica Super Combi 3000 laminator line allowing customers to test, prototype and bring forward innovation in packaging lamination. The collaboration agreement between Dow and Nordmeccanica will also enable similar capabilities at additional Pack Studios across the globe. In addition, Pack Studios connect customers with Dow’s network of capabilities enabling collaboration across the value chain including resins, lamination, packaging design, converting, and prototyping.

Dow and Nordmeccanica will exhibit at drupa 2016, the international trade fair for printing solutions in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 31 May to 10 June 2016.
